The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity. Favorite Track(s): Die Feuertaufe, Grabenlieder

While Ofte jeg drømmer mig død will most likely always be my favourite Afsky album (being one ov my favourite albums in general), Om hundrede år ticks all the boxes I hoped it would: the calm and simultaneously depressing folk elements are there; the wailing screams of a forlorn spirit, forced to eternally wander the woods (apt comparison, deadpunk!); the harsh, bitterly cold guitar riffs and the ultimate realisation of life, death and our inevitable undoing. Exactly what I want. Recommended!

While I genuinely enjoy Afsky's approach to black metal, I Stilhed sports peak performance in the most stripped-down of ways: acoustic guitar only, letting Afsky songs shine in new and vastly different splendour. Being mostly stuck in the black metal swamp, I was unaware of needing this until I heard it. This is a great way to zone out and breathe, to take a step back from modern day's everpresent hectic and let the world around just keep turning. A very welcome, soothing change of pace.
